I began having trouble with my weight in high school. I was made fun of by my so-called friends for the way I looked and shamed for eating anything at all and that started the dieting. I tried the low fat diet, low carb diet, the “you name it diet” and I still gained weight! I exercised while starving and still no lasting results. I married, and started having children all while still losing the weight loss battle. My body began to suffer. My knees hurt and had to get steroid injections. My blood pressure went up and had to be put on medication. I developed metabolic syndrome and my blood sugar went up, metformin was added. I got to the place that I couldn’t play with my kids, I was tired all the time, easily short of breath. This was me
With no success at losing weight, surgery was my only option at that time. I had a near total gastrectomy. Finally, weight loss!
